alright so to get to the question, wanting to go to the dentist to get my mouth worked on. I've been looking around (Chattanooga tn) for a good doc that charges fairly (yeah right). Most I've seen do a per tooth of $75 bucks...so 32x75=me having a financial heart attack(2616 with state taxes added in). They don't put up the cost's of sedation, cause I will be going under for all that work to be getting done and hopefully the dentures same day. 1) I've heard there is a ton of pain over the first three months of having this done to your mouth, and the pain associated with wearing the dentures right off the bat to help your gums heal better. How bad is it actually. (more targeted for people who have had this done) 2) Do most dentist offer 'other' more expensive plans to deal with teeth problems or will they just listen to what I want and do it? 3) For the life of me I've looked around on the net for different levels of full dentures (not the ones they drill pegs into your mouth and you clamp the denture to) because most say dentures starting at 200-800 bucks and up. I wanna see what the entry level denture is and move up from there if need be. 4) Why in the hell is it so fucking hard to get dental insurance? Last time I had a plan it was 115 a month and I had to wait for 6 months to get anything worked on. Major work took 12 month waiting period. 5) CareCredit...what exactly is it? thanks for the help and any suggestions you have will be looked at and appreciated. And please keep the comments to the questions, it's serious and I know someone has gone through this before.... Read More »
